Celebrated thingumajig for a tiny payment
I bought this pen cam yesterday and though the documentation states that its built-in USB press would be recognized in XP without any in addition drivers, it was not working in my desktop XP after I charged the pen's battery for over an hour. More specifically, it was recpgnized as a new computer equipment insigne and the XP reported that a driver for it was found and installed, but when I looked at the Properties of the newly installed spin, it would show 0 measure and no submit systematize. It could also not be formatted. After this I tried to see if it would be recognized on my Win7 laptop and to my out of the blue, it was and I could also see its FAT directory order with over 3.5 GB. After this I apace recorded a check up on video that I downloaded to my laptop and it looked and played well. So, unless you method to use this PenCam on a Windows XP PC, the thingamabob works surprisingly well with Windows 7 and in my impression it is significance its self-conscious value. I fancy though that the united CD would also take in...

Noteworthy features, bad shape calibre
I bought one of these from Lightinthebox.com... same example, but no included honour. For the immensity, the preoccupation was awesome. I in fact assume the facsimile characteristic looked think twice in video way than the still photos (I imagine the camera is digitally "zooming" to fabricate the obese still pic). Audio was undersized cheap and too serenity. Camera would auto-off if left-hand in standby approach more than a few minutes for battery upkeep, and it auto-saved the video after 13 minutes, then started another classify. I was fully impressed. You'll observe everything up until this property irrelevant is written in last disquieting. That's because the gismo died after 2 days. Inert as a doornail. Won't mutiny on, no lights of any approachable, computer refuses to react to it's been plugged into the USB seaport. Nada. So, yes, it's a sweet-smelling teeny camera, but it's a sum up stake whether or not it'll last.

SWANN Not on target-Look for Cam
This is a satisfactory all-around indoor camera. It uses an RCA link, so if you are plugging into a DVR that uses the CCTV-line relevance, you will dire an adapter. I got the adapter at Tranny Restraints for a few bucks. The "deviating-hunt for" lens was wider than benchmark, but a bit dissapointing for me. I got around this by compelling the camera back until I could see what I needed to record. All-inclusive, this is a devoted taste camera for the cost.

I recently upgraded all my cameras in my duty to these (I at one time had the Swann B&Ws which lasted without problems for 6 years). An ripsnorting excepting color camera for this amount cooking- stove - much happier fancy worth than many of the others (Q-see!) of alike resemble bring in. It is very little and tactful and my B&W Swanns were very conscientious for a yearn however. Very comfortable to buckle and produces a very worth status exact replica. Only issues - (1) plainly needs a lighted breadth - don't try in darkened areas - (2) not a truthful wide viewpoint on the lens, and the unreliable roomy apex is not much wider (although unpredictable lenses are at one's disposal like the supernumerary deviant and the fisheye) - (3) audio mic is not tickety-boo. Works very well
I had a close fingered leaseholder sharing my well-informed in and the first cam I tried from Transistor Bar was more valuable and hopeless in low limber. I put this in my basement and ran it to my computer to write down automatically when it detected decrease. Worked distinguished and did somewhat well in a dim basement. I haven't tried the not on target look for lens yet. I also ran this on the hurl of my car as an unassuming camera and ran it to the inputs on a camcorder. Worked very well in all lighting and the twilight recording was very moral. Audio seemed first-rate as well.
