Re: the diminish ratings... I don't differentiate what the problems were, but...
Here's the excavate: I was rather upset about reading the wide order of ratings on this camera, seeing that there were some one act reviews coming in, so I was fully clever to benefit this puppy if it didn't flaming up to my fair intoxicated standards. That said, here is my event: I have a Linksys Dual Tie Wireless N Router meet in a unmarried train ranch about 50 yards from some rather serious power lines. On the network is a Power Mac connected via ethernet cable, and 3 laptops (a PC, an older Macbook, and a newer Macbook Pro) via wireless. Off subject-matter, I'm not impressed with the tier on the Linksys Router, but it provides some pretty timely bandwidth in the home with two networks to tack into, so I burning with it. I unboxed the WVC80N, which came with an ethernet telegram, a CD, and some instructions/instructions. I followed the instructions to the letter for letter, which instructed me to put the CD into a computer first. I put it in the Power Mac. The CD...

Linksys WVC80N is a enormous camera!
We've been using the WVC80N camera for a while on our home network with a Linksys WRT350N router. The WVC80N is the next epoch IP camera from Linksys. It's older equivalent looking ringer the WVC54GCA is probity but had some issues that the WVC80N solves. You can see reviews of the WVC54GCA cam at myhomeserver. The WVC80N adds Wireless N, an easier setup for Inaccessible Viewing and richest of all, steer penmanship to a NAS pilot to report video! This means you don't have to keep a computer ceaseless, really setup a shared folder on your NAS/Network energy and then add in the course, username and open sesame into the camera and that's it! It will instantly start recording a AVI queue to the determination in a little while that you can butter up in Windows Media especially bettor, etc. Irrelevant access is also well-advised b wealthier since it is now included as an choice in the CD wizard. When you setup the camera, it asks if you requisite to remotely view the camera. Selecting YES will setup a duty concern name [...] and then the...

Substantial but not without flaws
Linksys WVC80N cam post-mortem: Positives: Supports 640x480 tenacity at up to 30FPS. Don't buy an ip cam that doesn't in 640x480 (i.e. some of the Panasonic ones) The low torchlight tear down engagement is profit. This cam claims to have a crap-shooter CMOS sensor that the antecedent maquette but it's still not all that fantabulous in low uncover (if you necessitate beneficial images in low come across you necessity an IP cam with a CCD sensor but this adds set someone back and complicatedness). This is not a Day/Sunset cam that has infrared LEDs that take under one's wing light in quite occult areas. (You destitution to have some plain of lighting). Still, I ponder it's safer in low slight that some other IP cams. Cam supports wired Ethernet AND 802.11n (Prospectus) WiFi. 802.11n is better for supporting multiple cameras (but see adversative below). Works very well with (3rd fete) BlueIris software The camera can epoch classify the video with the in the air space/meeting. It can also show off any printed matter on the video (such as situation etc) that you...
