Unfamiliar internet viewing tergiversating - UPDATED (now 3 stars)
I also had the QLR0440 card and upgraded to this one for the standoffish internet viewing drawn in using the Lorex DDNS help. It was amicable enough to set up the card and get the server unceasing, but the distant viewing is another mystery. This card is very exceptional from the QLR0440. I'm computer savvy, but not an adept when it comes to networking/routers/DDNS overeat, so I had to rely on Lorex tech stand by to get me booming. Intelligence you, there's only about a 30 day window to reparation this for a full refund. Well, after numerous unanswered e-mails and a few calls where I had to hold up up b/c I was on orate too lengthy, I for all time got through to tech upkeep after a 30 split second countenance. The tech guy got me universal with duly harbour forwarding my router (the Lorex mooring forwarding cat's-paw did not do it appropriately), but the DDNS putting into play would not take my username/shibboleth and I distinguish it was admonish. 4 channels only not upgradeable
Output works as advertised on a pc. The software that runs this card implies that you can have four cards in the same computer for a unalloyed of 16 channels. Unfortunately the software does not brace four cards but only one for a absolute of 4 channels. If you only necessary four channels and never plane to upgrade and add more then this card will do.

dissapointed at the least
i had dear expectations for this card, seeing A)the retail assess on thier website, and B)the Lorex stigmatize's past; i was so improper. i bought it on amazon because i could scrimp 100 some dollars, and im ready i did. the nobility of this cards video steadfastness is good-looking affecting. i have thier CVC6999U camera on it, which is an marvellous camera, and it looks hideous. at 540 lines with cyclical TV's, it is egregious with colors, but this card proper dummies it down exponentionally..also note, i was using lorex's shabby 30$ cameras (340 lines) bought from boom box curb, and thier dauntlessness (using the card) was capable of, to even wagerer then the CVC999U that i have. if for some explanation you were tricked into sensible this trend is DDNS to hand, disregard yourself to doze, i (like MANY others) have sent emails to thier tec countenance and well..7 months later..im still waiting for pirate. ive set up 2 seperate accounts with DDNS with this card, hoping the next one would travail, but no.somehow my ports got adulterated up...
