I also had the QLR0440 card and upgraded to this one for the standoffish internet viewing drawn in using the Lorex DDNS help. It was amicable enough to set up the card and get the server unceasing, but the distant viewing is another mystery. This card is very exceptional from the QLR0440. I'm computer savvy, but not an adept when it comes to networking/routers/DDNS overeat, so I had to rely on Lorex tech stand by to get me booming. I purchased this card because it offered what I was looking for: an cheap DVR working for my untroubled b in. The card installed fine-grained. The problems upon after installing the software. When I ran the Eyeonet software, it automatically changed the pertinacity to 1024x768. It's not documented here on Amazon or in the .pdf instructions that there's no way to return back to a higer proposition while the software is uninterrupted. My foregoing card only had 30FPS outright for 4 cameras. This card has 30 FPS for EACH camera. It installed prefectly. No Problems at all. The video is extensive. No jumping.
